Hello there! Welcome to My Redemption for His Glory; it’s splendid to have you here!
Please, let me introduce myself…
I am a Christian… whose name is Emma.
Why did I choose to order those titles that way?
Simple! — My new identity in Christ has triumphed over the old, sin-enslaved wretch I was before. As Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me”. My allegiance now lies with the perfectly kind and merciful One, Who rescued me from the bonds of sin and death, delivering me into true life (which will last for all eternity!).
I made the decision to create this website for three main reasons…
- to strengthen your knowledge of Christianity and the Gospel
- to challenge you to respond to the Lord’s call and commission
- to offer encouragement as you follow after Christ, in pursuit of Truth and holiness
Further background information can also be found on my very first post.
This blog is mostly directed towards Christians, however, even if you are not a Christian, please feel welcome to stay awhile — at least to read through The Gospel. (If there is anything else you explore here, let it be that!)
And, as for those of you who have already humbled yourself before God, who have repented and put your trust in Christ…
Please join me in earnestly seeking to understand how to honour God amidst a depraved, perverse and wicked world by becoming increasingly set-apart to Him. Let us run the race together, continually declaring the praises of Him Who called us out of darkness and into His wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9)! He is most worthy!!
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, Who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him Who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
